We talk about the divide as though everyone is standing at the same starting line, waiting for an AI account. Start earlier. Does someone have a reliable device, internet access, transportation, time to learn, and somewhere to ask for help? Can they reach the job we're celebrating? Can a small nonprofit afford the staff time to check the work its new AI subscription produces?
A marble palace and a shack of rotting wood can both have freshly painted shutters. The paint tells us very little about what either house can withstand.
Human Capacity Infrastructure is the operating layer between buying AI and institutionalizing it: the rules, review layers, source-of-truth systems, and decision gates that keep the work aligned and usable. Two priorities right now. GateForce85 first. Then a working group for AI implementation in local government and public trust institutions, where the people who know the work, technical practitioners, designers, legal counsel, and funders make practical decisions together.
Some call this prompt engineering, AI governance, LLM evaluation, or workflow architecture. I call myself a Systems Producer because the job is bringing an organization's people, operations, and AI together.
GateForce85 status: working browser prototype, pre-pilot. Internal review was model-assisted. One outside code review, done in a personal capacity with no institutional endorsement. It covered the code, not field results. Not yet field-tested.
The asks right now: three to five workforce advisors for a two-week calibration lab on synthetic cases, and people who know the work of local government and public trust institutions for the working group. Message me on LinkedIn.
